Except it was the contrary. At every attempt in creating wealth or at least the persuasion of what could generate a steady income was met with great amount of resistance. There is an undercover type of enslavement going on where through endless sabotage acts creates a sort of financial dependency on those who created the problem in the first place. There are a lot of powerful people whiling to negatively interfere with people lives if that somehow pleases or are advantageous, even if that ultimately costs someone else’s life.

Those people usually hire useful idiots to propagate their agenda and ill informed ideas. Here for an example it is really rare to find a local person working in any place that you may go. The people you find here are people that come from other states and formed unions where they only hire themselves. I wonder who are the xenophobic. Your taxes goes to their states and those states sends those people here, only hiring themselves saying that they are somehow oppressed by the locals. They are pawns who create discord among locals.

Those useful idiots can’t grasp the idea that here, the immigrants come to Brazil after the end of slavery, my father for example worked at farms, his family managed to buy a small ranch and decide to move to the city to work on the recently built factories where they helped build the city as it is. His family was always working class, he never complained about being oppressed even though part of his working life as a child can be considered slavery. My mother’s father also helped create the city, his surname is on the name of one of the city’s neighborhood, worked his childhood too, died under suspicious circumstances and was the most vocal against those useful idiots and their masters.

While my family were working and creating the city, those people were working at same conditions in other states and now they are here closing industries, assassinating people and confiscating properties. The same powerful people who were oppressing those migrants are now sending these pawns to go after the defenseless. The people who built this city and worked on the factories are now marginalized, their taxes are never applied in the region where there are more syndicates than industries, where their business are sabotaged, their working ethics are shamed and their kids are molested. 

A lot of biases, ignorance and criminality. The current president is one of those useful idiots, one of those people who helped confiscate our lands claiming that we were the oppressors, he was following orders of the same people who actually oppressed him in the region where he come from. At his advanced age he should start learning Brazilian history and world history so he can find out who is the real oppressor. I wonder if you need to be a Portuguese descendant to truly be considered Brazilian because as it seems, the law and the government works against you if you’re not.
